OCD Teletherapy in Kansas
Do your thoughts spiral into worst-case scenarios, making you question everything—your safety, your choices, your identity, your relationships? Maybe it feels like your brain is running a threat simulator 24/7, and the only way to quiet it down is to check, research, confess, seek reassurance, or mentally “fix it.”
This could be OCD, and it’s more common than people realize.
You might be dealing with:
Intrusive thoughts that feel disturbing, distressing, or “not you”
Repeating mental rituals or checking things over and over and over “just in case”
Fear that if you don’t act on a thought, something bad or terrible will happen
Constant self-doubt, especially about your memories, identity, or relationships
Feeling like you need reassurance, but it only helps for a moment
Exhaustion from trying to out-think your anxiety
OCD isn’t always about neatness or washing hands. It shows up as unwanted thoughts, excessive doubt, and internal rules that feel impossible to ignore. It’s a pattern of obsession and compulsion, whether visible or entirely in your head, and it thrives on fear and uncertainty.
How I Help
In therapy, we’ll work together to map out how your OCD shows up: what thoughts hook you, what doubt sounds like in your head, and what rituals you use to feel safe (even if they’re all internal). I use evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) to help you step out of the OCD cycle. Want to know more about these two approaches? Read my blog posts on OCD.
In sessions, we might:
Identify your specific obsessional themes and how OCD twists your values
Practice Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with support and pacing that fits you
Challenge OCD’s false logic using I-CBT and narrative techniques
Learn to sit with uncertainty, reduce compulsions, and tolerate discomfort
Build skills to manage anxiety, reduce reassurance seeking, and stop the mental spiral
I don’t just treat OCD… I live with it too. I know firsthand how relentless those intrusive thoughts can be, how convincing the doubt feels, and how exhausting it is to keep trying to feel “sure.” That’s why I offer therapy that’s both evidence-based and empathetic. I won’t judge your thoughts, and I won’t push you into anything before you’re ready. We’ll work together to build your tolerance for uncertainty and reclaim your peace of mind.
